The MapSource® US TOPO 24K National Parks, Central v2 provides detailed coverage of U.S. National Parks located within the Central United States. The digital topographic maps are comparable to 1:24,000 scale paper charts provided by the USGS, which is the most detailed topographical data available.
These CD's are designed to provide interactive viewing of detailed topographic maps. It is vector-based and provides object oriented cartography: descriptive details for features typically found on topographic maps can easily be viewd with a simple key press. Cursor movements over the map provide descriptions for topographic contours, trail names, summit eleveations, points of interest informationa and more. It is ideal for hunters, hikers, campers and outdoor enthusiasts of all kind. Plan your outing on your PC, then download maps and data to your compatible Garmin GPS to guide you on your next trek.
Version 2 features include:
- Vertical profiling allows you to see ground elevations in a 3D image
